To add to his list, here are a couple more ideas that are not necessarily new, but are worth a reminder:

Do NOT include the phrase: * References Available Upon Request *. It is understood.

Begin with a “Summary” paragraph, not “Objective”.

Outline your past “Results”, not necessarily your “Duties”.
